Trailer Bridge was proud to sponsor local Jacksonville robotics team, SHIVA Atomatrons, for the 2021-2022 season. The team is made up of students from middle school through high school that come together at SHIVA Robotics Academy, an after-school program designed to teach youth about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics though various hands-on activities. This particular team designs, builds, and programs robotics to compete against other robotics teams throughout the state of Florida.
This year, the team developed Bridget, named after Trailer Bridge. Bridget’s features include picking up and delivering cubes to a home base. Bridget can move side to side, forward, and backwards thanks to her 360-degree wheels run by a motor and chassis – all built and programmed by the students.
The team finished within the Top 12 out of 23 teams this season and they are eager to get started on the next project
Trailer Bridge is proud of these students and their commitment to innovative thinking. Part of maintaining the culture here at Trailer Bridge is giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Providing students the opportunity to innovate, learn, and expand brings empowerment and gives them the chance to change the world – and we’re honored to support that in any way possible.
