What do you enjoy most about leading the Dallas team at Trailer Bridge?
Leading a team in general – it’s all about what you can do for your people. Leadership is such an incredible privilege.
By far the most fulfilling experience of my career is seeing individuals that have worked for me thrive as they progress through their careers and lives. It’s my responsibility to ensure I create a healthy work environment for my team and that I create opportunities for them to achieve their goals.
For leading at TB specifically – my leadership allows me to lead in the manner that I see fit, our values and goals are aligned, and they give me all the resources I need to take care of my team.
Describe your leadership style.
I Prioritize maximum development of my team and give them as much freedom and flexibility as possible to make business decisions. I don’t mind when people make mistakes if they learn from them. I also hold people accountable for being the best versions of themselves and don’t accept anything less.
What are the top 3 qualities you look for in a candidate on your team?
Ambition. Confidence. Enthusiasm.
Describe your team in 3 words or less.
Better than yesterday.
What is one fun fact that you would want a potential new hire to know about you?
I have a degree in finance and management. I didn’t plan on building a career in logistics but here we are over a decade later and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
