Trailer Bridge, Inc. and ATS International announced today their Rally por Puerto Rico Charity Golf Tournament raised $102,500 for Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico supporting the organization’s efforts to create and preserve home ownership opportunities for low-income individuals and families on the island. Habitat will use the funds to support its mission including construction and rehabilitation projects for new homeowners on the island.
This year’s tournament, held on April 25, marks the fifth annual event held on the island which has raised more than $500,000 in total for Habitat. The event, which started in 2019, is an extension of the company’s commitment to serving the people of Puerto Rico.
“Today is not about us, it’s about the life-changing work of Habitat for Humanity,” said Trailer Bridge CEO Mitch Luciano during the awards ceremony. “The dollars raised today and throughout the past four years are directly impacting the lives of families today and future generations on the island. Serving our community – whether here in Puerto Rico or back in Jacksonville – is an essential part of our culture and one of the most gratifying parts of our work.”
Trailer Bridge and ATS cover all expenses related to the Rally por Puerto Rico Charity Golf Tournament which allow 100% of the sponsorship dollars to go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico. This year nearly 90 golfers joined together at Grand Reserve Golf Club Río Grande for the tournament.

“Given the critical situation in Puerto Rico for affordable housing, fundraising efforts for organizations like Habitat Puerto Rico are even more important. They allow us to offer housing opportunities and programs to more people on the island. Through the Rally por Puerto Rico golf tournament in the past 5 years, we have been able to complete 17 homes and impact 47 individuals in the municipalities of; San Juan, Loíza, Peñuelas, Salinas, Guayama, and Trujillo Alto. The support of ATS and Trailer Bridge allowed us to touch lives and assist with the rehabilitation of the future homes of our beneficiaries,” shared Amanda Silva, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico.
Trailer Bridge operates two roll-on, roll-off barges that deliver goods to the island including building materials used to develop homes for local families. The company has been serving the island since 1991 and signed long-term lease agreements with the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and the Jacksonville Port Authority anchoring its commitment to the island for more than 20 years.
