Meet Our Kansas City Logistics Branch Manager: Kyle Olsen

Where could your logistics career be in 2.5 years?

For Kyle Olsen, 2.5 years at Trailer Bridge took him on a journey from his first job in logistics to leading the company’s newest logistics location in Kansas City in 2022. Upon opening, the Kansas City branch quickly became the fastest growing location in the company.

Kyle’s own personal career success and his ability to manage a rapidly growing team led to him being recognized as a 2022 Rising Star by the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA).

Today, the Kansas City team is still growing! We are looking for the next generation of driven logistics professionals who want to take the initiative in their own career.

What do you enjoy most about leading the Kansas City team here at Trailer Bridge?

I enjoy developing talented individuals and watching them grow. Nothing makes my heart fuller than watching someone who has never been in logistics begin to thrive and become successful in an industry that is so diverse.

Describe Your Leadership Style.

I define my leadership style as being transparent and leading by example. Everything I train my team to do, I still do.

What are 3 qualities you look for in a candidate on your team?

I look for genuineness, people who are motivated and someone who possesses leadership qualities.

What is one fun fact that you would want a potential new hire to know about you?

I like to play video games in my time off.
