Our History

A company founded on innovation

Trailer Bridge was founded by industry legend Malcom McLean who is most well-known for his work to transform cargo shipping into what it is today. He formed the foundation of who we are, and his innovative spirit still guides us today as we continue to grow our business to reflect the needs of today’s shipper.

2024

Global expansion continues with the launch of Trailer Bridge Europe and the first office in Germany. 

2022

The Jacksonville Port Authority Board of Directors approves long-term agreement with Trailer Bridge for its Jacksonville port lease.

2022

Trailer Bridge launches its new TMS, Mastermind™ by Mastery Logistics Systems.

2022

The Intermodal Division is launched to support the growth of Trailer Bridge.

2021

Trailer Bridges signs first long-term, 20-year lease agreement with Puerto Rico Port Authority for is San Juan port operation.

2021

TB Logistics hits major milestone surpassing $100M in revenue.

2021

The expansion continues with the roll out of Trailer Bridge International, the company’s NVOCC division.

2020

TB launches division focused on government and military cargo. 

2019

The company expands it service offerings further to include U.S. to Mexico cross border shipping. 

2015

Mitch Luciano named CEO.

2012

Trailer Bridge expands its service to include inland logistics. 

1992

Trailer Bridge completed its first sailing to the island.
